MDA’s annual Winter Session wrapped up last weekend in Columbia.
I’m always amazed at how many diverse member needs get addressed in 30 jam-packed hours. Anchoring the weekend was the always-strong lineup of CE courses for member dentists and their staff, plus a special EFDA training. But there was much more to partake in as well.
A record-number of vendors made for good exposure to a variety of products and services. This year the exhibitors were all in one room, and that’s where all the breaks were held making networking with colleagues cozier. There were events for the MoAPD (Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) and the AGD (Academy of General Dentistry).
The New Dentists had their own reception after the conference Happy Hour – once again proving it’s good to be young! The raffle to support the MDA Foundation yielded the highest net proceeds in a few years and made some winners happy. There was even yoga and a nutrition seminar sponsored by the Dental Well Being Foundation.
Feedback has been positive, and I would encourage you to add this quick winter weekend to your CE options. It’s a great taste of the MDA and a nice way to kickoff the year.
Kudos to Mandy Lewis, MDA Education and Meeting Manager, and to the Education Committee, chaired by Dr. Doug Wyckoff for a job well done.
